About Me
I have been teaching as an Associate Professor in the Department of Criminology and Police Science at Mawlana Bhashani Science and Technology University (MBSTU) in Tangail, Bangladesh, since 2010. Now, I am doing a Ph.D. in Law and Legal Studies at Carleton University, Ottawa, ON, Canada. My Ph.D. project is on "Prison and Resistance: A Postcolonial Comparative Study on Released Indigenous Women Political Prisoners in Bangladesh and Canada.” My research interests are prison resistance, Indigenous prisoner resistance, punishment, prison governance, prison culture and crimmigration, and prisoner deportation across borders in Bangladesh and India through postcolonial lenses.
